IIG Design Director of Design and Operations, Laura Thompson, Makes IHG's Approved Designer List


IIG's (Interior Image Group) Director of Design and Operations, Laura Thompson, has joined the elite rankings of the IHG Approved Architect and Designer list.

 IIG president, Patti Tritschler, says "We've enjoyed working with the IHG team on projects in the past including the Holiday Inn Express brand. With Laura's official approval, we are looking forward to working with the IHG group in a more official capacity."


IIG’s (Interior Image Group) Director of Design and Operations, Laura Thompson, has joined the elite rankings of the IHGApproved Architect and Designer list. 

As an organization, IIG’s meticulous eye for operational and design details has been winning favor with many brands in addition to IHG.  Laura Thompson, Director of Interior Design says “I am honored to have been approved by such an established organization.  I am confident that if I can meetIHG’s high standards, and that our team can work with any brand as well as individual properties looking for top notch interior design services.”

Individually, designers must attend the IHG Design and Construction Immersion program and pass an IHG Design and Construction internal review based on knowledge of IHG brand specs & hallmarks, hospitality trends & codes, and other critical elements in the IHG design process.

Approvals are based on strict qualification criteria that includes a degree in Architecture or Interior Design and a minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality design or non-degreed interior designers with 5 years of consistent work in hospitality design.

 Designers’ firms must be able to provide full architectural or interior design services that includes, programming, conceptual design and schematics, budgeting and cost estimating capabilities, design development, presentation materials, working drawings, architectural or interior design specifications, and construction administration.
